NIST Astronomy Club is a 36-member team that started off as a hobby club at National Institute of Science and Technology, Berhampur, Odisha. Our continued perseverance & efforts have helped us grow into a somewhat well-established Astronomy club in Odisha. Working under the able guidance of Prof. Sangram Mudali (Director, NIST) and Dr Mihir Hota (Faculty advisor, NAC) our motto has always been spreading awareness & learning about astronomy amongst each while staying highly passionate & motivated towards the same. We conduct various astronomical events, occasional night outs of sky gazing and school outreaches to teach everyone about the enigmatic sky. Recently, we have also started undertaking some mini projects in astronomy, to quench our cosmic thirst.

We have two telescopes, a Meade & a Celestron edgeHD 1100. We also have a one of a kind in-house planetarium. Added to all this, we even publish "Cosmic Dive", a tri-annual astronomy journal that is loaded with lots of excitement, love, awesomeness & facts about our Cosmos. All this at zero* price.

*Terms & Conditions apply. The magazine is free of cost. However, if delivery charges exceed INR 200 the consignee needs to bear the extra charges.
