How Chandrayaan-2 will reach lunar surface and what it is supposed to do on the Moon?

Launch has been called off, due to technical snag, for India’s Chandrayaan-2 Moon orbiter, lander and rover. This is the second mission to the Moon for ISRO, the Indian Space Research Organization. Lift off was scheduled on 14 July 2019 at 21:21 UTC (15 July 2019 at 02:51 IST local time), with GSLV-MK3 launcher from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre on the east coast of India.

ISRO is working on the technical problems and revised date will be announced later but in the mean time know how GSLV-MK3 will take the payload to space and what chandrayaan-2 is supposed to do when it reaches moon’s surface. A technical snag was observed in launch vehicle system at T-56 minute. And the launch was called off.
